Overview

At Dealerwhinsuredo, we understand that circumstances can change. This policy outlines our procedures for course cancellations, transfers, and refunds for our creative writing courses in Auckland. We aim to be fair and transparent in all our dealings.

Your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), if our services do not meet the guarantees under the Act (for example, reasonable care and skill, fitness for purpose, or completion within an agreed time), you may have rights to remedies such as repair, replacement, or refund. Those rights cannot be excluded by this policy. This policy applies to voluntary cancellations and our goodwill arrangements; it does not limit your CGA rights where our services have failed to meet the statutory guarantees.

Cancellation by Student

If you need to cancel your enrolment in a creative writing course, the following refund schedule applies:

  • More than 14 days before course start: Full refund of course fees
  • 7-14 days before course start: 50% refund of course fees
  • Less than 7 days before course start: No refund, but credit towards a future course
  • After course has begun: No refund available

Course Transfers

We offer flexible transfer options for enrolled students:

  • Transfer to a different course date at no additional charge (subject to availability)
  • Transfer your enrolment to another person if you cannot attend
  • Transfer requests must be made at least 48 hours before the course begins

To request a transfer, please contact us with your original booking details and preferred alternative.

Cancellation by Dealerwhinsuredo

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel or reschedule a course. If this occurs:

  • You will be notified as soon as possible via email and phone
  • You will be offered priority enrolment in the next available course
  • Alternatively, you may request a full refund of your course fees

We are not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs you may have incurred.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or discuss your options:

  • Email us at partners@dealerwhinsuredo.world with your name and course details
  • Call us on +64 800 284 8729 during business hours
  • Visit our Auckland centre at 27 Princes Street, Auckland Central

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the booking. If you paid by bank transfer, please provide your account details for the refund. We're happy to help with any questions about the process.

Course Materials

Digital course materials provided before your cancellation remain available to you. Physical materials must be returned in good condition if you have received them and are requesting a refund.

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations arise. If you are facing exceptional circumstances that prevent you from attending, please contact us. We will work with you to find a suitable solution on a case-by-case basis.

Disputes

If you believe our services have not met the guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, you may contact us to seek a remedy. You may also refer the matter to the Disputes Tribunal or the courts of New Zealand. For general consumer information and guidance, visit consumerprotection.govt.nz.
